My clients Leeds List were engaged by 42 The Calls to promote a Christmas shopping special offer.  The brief was to capture the essential aspects of the offer, eg pleasant hotel room with city views, beer & champagne, cooked breakfast.  Potential customers should be able to imagine themselves in the hotel room chilling out after a day’s shopping.  After all, Leeds is known as the Knightsbridge of the North and is a top UK shopping and leisure destination!

Leeds has many fine hotels.  42 The Calls is ideally located near the Corn Exchange and other sites of interest.  Rooms at the rear look onto the River Aire, Brewery Wharf and have some long distance views.

I enjoy commercial photography as I can draw on my background in sales & marketing to help my clients sell their products and services.  Please get in touch if you require a commercial photographer in Leeds, Yorkshire.

I am also a Google Trusted Photographer and can upload virtual tours and quality images directly into your Google Places listing to enable you to attract more business via Google.

Commercial photography Leeds – Restaurant photography for Leeds List at Crafthouse

commercial photography Leedsphotography for business Leeds – food photography Leeds

Commercial photography is used to advertise your business.  Good photography will pay for itself by creating a good impression and generating you more customers.  Quality photography implies a quality product and service, yet so many businesses still use images online that actually damage their client’s perceptions of them!  Have a look at your competitor’s websites and compare them to your own… do you notice a variation in the quality of the photographs used?

This photography shoot was commissioned by my clients, Leeds List, for two features on Crafthouse Restaurant at Trinity shopping centre in Leeds.  The brief was to show the diners enjoying Sunday Lunch and capture images of it.  The shoot took place while the restaurant was open and caused no disturbance to the other diners.

As a Google Trusted Photographer, I can also provide 360 degree panoramic images of your premises that I can upload into your Google Places listing.  Contact Ollievision now to discuss how Paula can help you sell the benefits of your business.

You can see some of my own favourite images below. You can see the family review article here on Leeds List which includes other images taken for the shoot.  The second feature, that of the couple without children, is here.

The Grand Clock, Grand Arcade Potts Clock, Leeds – new photographs for 2013

The Grand clock – commercial photographers Leeds commercial photography Leeds

It’s been many years since we had clear new photographs of the Leeds treasure that is the Potts Clock at Grand Arcade.  To read an introduction to the clock and it’s history click here.

The Handpicked Hall retailers are leading a campaign to raise funds to restore the clock, which has not worked properly for many years, to it’s former glory.  Please follow the campaign Facebook page here.

As part of my work with Handpicked Hall, access was arranged for me to photograph the clock in it’s pre-restoration condition.  As you will see, it’s quite dirty and the clock room is damp due to water leaking through the roof.

The famous figures look to be in good condition and have not rusted.  I expected them to be made from plaster but they are actually hollow metal that has been made in sections and joined together.  The figures are also much larger than I expected!  I’m 5ft 5in and they are taller than I am, though they do stand on a raised revolving platform.

This is the exterior view of the clock that shoppers see as they walk down the Grand Arcade.

These are my 2013 images of the clock interior.  Due to previous issues with image theft I have watermarked them.  These images may not be copied or posted elsewhere online, but feel free share links to this blog post.

If you would like to see the full set in my online gallery please click here.

If you would like to see the Grand Clock up close for yourself you need to go buy a drink in Santiagos Bar, which is the unit next to the clock.  There is a viewing window through into the clock room at Santiagos that the staff can direct you to.  The window can be seen on the left hand side of the above image behind the ladder.

Leeds cityscape photography – award winning image of Leeds

I was delighted to win the CBS Outdoor “I love my city” competition with this image.  It was taken on 19th February from Observation Wheel Leeds (Leeds eye) as part of my project to collect views from the wheel.

I was out and about during the afternoon and noticed that it looked like we might get a good sunset that evening.  I’d put my camera in the car boot just in case!  19th Feb was my 3rd trip up the wheel as I’d been up twice as part of the media previews day on the 15th.

Leeds markets – commercial photographers Leeds Yorkshirephotographer Leeds

I was commissioned to take new images of the Leeds Markets 1904 Building by Leeds City Council.  The markets are being prepared for refurbishment to ensure they meet the needs of the city for the next century.  Leeds markets are an important feature of the city as they are the largest covered markets in Europe.  The oldest parts of the surviving buildings date back to 1875, but the grandest part is the 1904 Hall, which was built as an extension to reflect the grandeur of Leeds and the city’s thriving economy.

Ollievision offers a quality commercial photography service across Yorkshire and provides images for brochures, presentations and marketing materials.  Please get in touch if you’d like a chat about your requirements.

An extensive Leeds stock photography library is available via our Lovin’ Leeds brand.

As an architectural photographer in Leeds, I get to scale the highest heights!  These photos were taken from Pinnacle, an office block on Albion Street that is one of Leeds tallest buildings.  Before the 2013 wedding season gets into full swing, I’m undertaking a project for Leeds City Council to gather images of the city’s changing skyline.

Leeds has such a wonderful variety of modern and old buildings and is a photographer’s paradise!

If you require an architectural photographer for internal or external views please phone me on 0787 292 4103 or message me via my contact form here.
